Groundhog Day

Will the groundhog see his shadow this year?
 
The students made predictions in their journals.
 

They also conducted a tally and asked their classmates: will the groundhog see his shadow - yes or no?

Non-standard Measurement

We used small snowflakes to measure the length of various classroom objects.

Measuring our Height

The students measured their heights using snowflakes and recorded their results.  They used the information to compare who was taller or shorter.

Colour Mixing

At the water table, we've been experimenting with mixing primary colours (red, yellow, blue) to make secondary colours (orange, green, purple).

Yellow water + blue drops = green water
 



Red water + blue drops = purple water

Dressing for Winter

It's cold outside!
Please come dressed for outdoor play in snowpants, boots, hats, mittens and scarves!
 
Also, practice getting dressed and undressed independently as well as zipping zippers!
